Yang Shancheng is from Shanxi, Taihang. A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Yang Shancheng, along with Liu Guquan, Lu Qiuyun and Qiu Xuanqing, were all direct disciples of Zhang Sanfeng. In his early years, he set a great ambition to enter the Taoist realm and cultivate in the Purple Sky of Mount Taihe. Later, when he entered Wudang, his wish came true. First, he followed his master to spread the incense in Wudang. Later, he was ordered to stay in Zixiao and became friends with Liu Guquan for the cold season. They practiced together in the Baozhu Rock Cave. The day after Liu Guquan's departure, he also passed away. His birth and death dates are unknown.
