Lei Pengtou, whose given name was Taiyun, was a renowned hermit on Wudang Mountain during the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Lei Pengtou's native place is unknown. He lived in seclusion on Wudang Mountain during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (1471-1487 AD). It is said that when Lei Fengtou was a scholar in his youth, he was quite fond of Taoist arts. Later, he became a Buddhist monk, but then gave up Buddhism and entered the Taoist path. At that time in Juwu, people saw that his movements were like floating clouds and his whereabouts were mysterious. If one meets someone at the foot of a mountain, they will disappear in the blink of an eye. When he looked around, he was already standing on the top of the steep cliff. At that time, when King Jing heard of his name, he specially visited Wudang Mountain. When he saw Lei Pengtou, King Jing asked, "If you could offer me a few words about my cultivation, I would be extremely grateful." Lei Pengtou replied, "I'm just a beggar. What do I know about cultivation?" King Jing had no choice but to ask him how old he was as an immortal. He replied, "Half a year old." He asked again where he was from. He replied, "Born in Youzhou (now the area around Beijing), chief of Jiankang (now Nanjing), registered in Guangdong, and served in the military in Liaodong." This kind of teasing and mocking response to the Dan family's secret language made the inexplicable King Jing extremely angry. They scolded him for being extremely impolite and then ordered him to be captured. Who would have thought that before the words were finished, the thunder and the headman had already vanished. After that, his whereabouts were unknown. From the deeds of Lei Pengtou, we can see that his alchemy martial arts have reached a state of perfection. It can also be deeply recognized that the highest level of martial arts as expounded by Taoism is transformation rather than resistance.
