Lu Qiuyun is from Guanghua, Hubei Province. A renowned Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain during the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Lu Qiuyun originally became a monk at the Chongyang Wanshou Palace in Zhongnan Mountain and studied the principles and methods of the Quanzhen School under Gao Dao. Later, he accompanied his master on a journey and once entered Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province to meet the Celestial Master Zhang in the Shangqing Palace, where he wore the teaching talisman. He returned to the Wudang Taoist Sect and served as the abbot of the Wulong Palace for many years. Note: Lu Qiuyun, along with Yang Shancheng, Liu Guquan and Qiu Xuanqing, was a direct disciple of Zhang Sanfeng. He should have become Sanfeng's disciple in the early years of the Hongwu reign. From this, it can be seen that Lu Yue was a newly born person of the Yuan Dynasty, with his main activities in the middle of the Yuan Dynasty, and he moved to Wudang in his later years. After Lu Qiuyun became a disciple of Sanfeng, he was ordered to go to Nan Yan. Later, he retired to the Zixiao Peak of Nan Yan and stayed at Du Men, fasting and recuperating in peace. In the winter of the eighth year of Yongle (1410 AD), he passed away without any illness. The deceased is unknown. Before his death, Qu Guang, a native of Gaoping, presented him with a poem, which read: "When a Taoist priest from Wudang came to visit me, he had a pair of bald hair and flowers. When asked, only a crane followed him. You can go east or west."
