Deng Qingyang's birth and death are unknown. According to the Qing Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals" and "Junzhou Annals", Deng came to Wudang Mountain to become a monk during the Yuan Dynasty. He studied the teachings of Huang-Laozi and Zhuangzi from eminent scholars, delved deeply into the "I Ching" and the "Dragon and Tiger Great Pill", and through meticulous thinking and practice, he mastered the essential truths. The subsequent events recorded in the above two Chronicles are similar to those of Zhang Daogui in the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals". Therefore, it is concluded that the two Chronicles are incorrect and have been deleted and not listed. Details remain to be verified.
