Zhu Yehe was a renowned Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the early Qing Dynasty. According to the "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals" of the Qing Dynasty, Zhu Yehe was a person during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566 AD). He visited many famous mountains across the country. In the early years of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1662 AD), he practiced Taoism at Mingzhen Nunnery on Wudang Mountain (ten li west of Yuxu Palace, near Wulong Palace). Zhu Yehe often told his Taoist disciples throughout his life, "Where can one cultivate the Tao without a body? To achieve the Tao, one must abandon the body." The Taoist sect might be the Quanzhen Northern School. He passed away peacefully without illness at the age of over 140.
