Wang Yizhong

Wang Yizhong was from Huguang (now Wuchang, Wuhan City, Hubei Province). A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Wang Yizhong became a monk in the Shangqing Palace on Longhu Mountain in his early years. Later, he traveled with his master and obtained the master's Qingwei Daoist art. He used talisman water to help people, prayed for rain to ward off evil spirits, and protected against disasters and calamities, all of which came true. In the early years of Yongle, I was ordered to travel around the famous mountains and blessed places. In the 11th year of Yongle (1413 AD), the 44th Celestial Master, Zhang Yuqing, the immortal of Wudang, recommended and bestowed upon him the position of director of the Nan Yan Palace. It passed away without any illness in the fourteenth year of Yongle. His death was unknown.
