Qian Ruowu was from Yunyang, Jingkou (now Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province). A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals" of the Ming Dynasty, Qian Ruowu became a monk at a young age and studied the subtle Taoist teachings under the guidance of Master Zhengyi Dao, delving deeply into their profound mysteries. In the thirteenth year of Yongle (1415 AD), he was selected by imperial decree to be burned and repaired in Jingle Palace on Wudang Mountain. In the sixteenth year of Yongle, Zhang Yuqing, the 44th Celestial Master, saw that he had an extraordinary demeanor and a grand ambition to support the sect. Therefore, he reported to the court and appointed him as the director of the Jingle Palace. In the 18th year of Yongle, he was elevated to immortality. His death was unknown.
