Shao Qingfang was from Fanyang (also known as Poyang, now in the northeast of Boyang County, Jiangxi Province). A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Shao Qingfang became a monk in the Shangqing Palace on Longhu Mountain when he was young. In the 24th year of the Hongwu reign (1391 AD), with his high moral integrity, he was recommended and sent to Guangdong to purge Taoism. In the 11th year of Yongle (1413 AD), there was a shortage of Taoist positions in the Wudang Palace. Zhang Yuqing, the 44th Celestial Master, recommended him and appointed him as the director of the Yuxu Palace on Wudang Mountain. On July 29th of the first year of the Hongxi reign (1425 AD), he passed away on Wudang Mountain. He was also buried on Longhu Mountain. His death was unknown.
