Li Shizhong was from Jiangdu (now Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province). A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Li entered Sanmao Mountain to become a monk during the Yuan Dynasty and read all the books of the "Zhouyi", "Wengeng", "Zhuang", and "Lie". In the early years of the Hongwu reign, he was appointed as the abbot of the Chongzhen Wanshou Palace in Beijing. He resumed the position of Daoji (the official in charge of Taoism). In the first year of Yongle (1403 AD), the emperor, recognizing his profound and profound Taoist teachings as well as his meritorious service to the world, bestowed upon him the position of Right Director of the Bureau of Taoist Records (an ancient Taoist official, known as the Bureau of Taoist Records in the capital, the Bureau of Taoist Records in prefectures, the Bureau of Taoist Records in prefectures, and the Bureau of Taoist Societies in counties). Later, due to the completion of the Wudang Temple, there were vacancies in the positions of the Taoist priests in each palace. Zhang Yuqing, the 44th Celestial Master, recommended him and ordered him to be appointed as the director of the Wudang Xingsheng Wulong Palace. He passed away peacefully in the sixteenth year of Yongle (1418 AD) and was buried in the Hui Lin Nunnery.
