The Yellow Emperor asked, "Nowadays, all those with fever diseases are like typhoid fever. They either recover or die. Why do they all die within six or seven days and recover within ten days or more?" I don't know the explanation, but I wish to hear the reason. Qi Bo to the Sun: The Great Yang is the subordinate of all Yang energies. Its veins are connected to the Feng Mansion, thus it is the dominant qi of all Yang energies. When a person is injured by cold, it turns into illness with heat. Even if the heat is severe, one cannot die. Those who fall ill due to cold are bound to die. The emperor said, "I wish to hear about it." Qi Bo said: "If one day of typhoid fever occurs and the body is exposed to extreme Yang, the head and neck will ache and the waist and spine will be strong." On the second day, Yangming received it. Yangming governs the flesh, and his pulse is close to the nose and the eyes. Therefore, the body felt hot, the eyes were painful, and the nose was unable to lie down. After three days of receiving the Shaoyang meridian, the Shaoyang meridian governs the gallbladder ①, and its pulse runs along the hypochondrium and connects to the ear. Therefore, cancer in the chest and hypochondrium leads to deafness. The three Yang meridians are all affected by this disease but have not yet entered the Zang area, so they can be opened. For four days, the sun was exposed to it, and the Taoming meridian was distributed in the middle of the stomach and blocked at the mouth, so the abdomen was full and overflowing. After five days of exposure to the lesser Yin, the lesser Yin meridian runs through the kidney meridian and connects to the lung, which is the root of the tongue. Therefore, the mouth is dry, the tongue is parched and thirsty. For six days, the Jueyin meridian was exposed to it. The Jueyin meridian followed the Yin organs and colluded with the liver, thus causing restiness and fullness, and the bladder shrank. If the three Ming and Three Yang, the Five Zang and the six Fu have all been ill, the Rong and Wei are not in good condition, and the five Zang are blocked, then one will die. Those who are constantly exposed to cold will experience a decline in their extreme Yang energy within seven days, and their headaches will rarely heal. After eight days, Yangming's illness declined and his body fever rarely recovered. For nine days, the Shaoyang disease has weakened, and deafness is slightly heard. After ten days of the decline of the Taiyin syndrome and the reduction of abdominal fat as before, one should think about diet. On the eleventh day, when the young man was ill and his thirst was not quenched, his tongue stopped and he sneezed. On the twelfth day, the Jueyin disease weakened. The cyst spread from the lower abdomen to the lower part of the emblem, and all the qi dissipated. The illness had passed. The emperor said, "What should be done about governance?" Qi Bo said, "By treating each of them and unblocking their internal meridians, the disease will deteriorate day by day." Those who are less than three days old are merely khan. If it has been three days, it can be discharged. The emperor said, "The fever has been cured. Why is there anything left behind?" Qi Bo said that the two kinds of leftovers are those that are very hot and are forcibly eaten, thus there are leftovers. If this is the case, it is because the disease has subsided and the heat is hidden. This is because the grain qi is thin and the two heats combine, thus leaving some residual heat. The emperor said, "Good." What should be done about the treatment of the deceased? Qi Bo Ri: By examining whether it is solid or weak, and adjusting it to be contrary and obedient, it will surely be ready. The emperor said, "How should one prohibit illness and fever?" Qi Bo Ri: When one has a fever, it will recover if they eat meat, but if they eat too much, it will be lost. This is what is strictly forbidden. The emperor said, "For those whose illness is caused by both cold and cold, what should the pulse be like in relation to the symptoms of the illness?" For those who are both affected by cold, if they fall ill for one day, both the great Yang and the young Ming will be affected, resulting in headache, dry mouth and restlessness. On the second day, both Yangming and Taiming fell ill, resulting in a hot abdomen and body, loss of appetite, and a promise. If both Shaoyang and Jueyin are diseased within three days, the deafness capsule will shrink and collapse, the fluid will not enter, the person will not be known, and the person will die within six days. The emperor said, "The Five Treasuries have been damaged, the six prefectures are blocked, and the imperial guards are not in good condition. If this continues, he will die within three days. Why is that?" Reading the fear of the sun: Yangming is the longest of the twelve meridians. Its blood and qi are abundant, so it does not know a person. After three days, its qi is exhausted, so it is known that for all diseases that develop into warmth due to cold damage, those that occur before the Summer Solstice are called disease heat, and those that occur after the summer solstice are called disease heat. Heat should be accompanied by sweating first and should not stop.
