Wang Jiaohua is from Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Born into a poor family, he once worked as a farmhand. In his youth, he went to Wudang Mountain to become a monk and became a disciple of Zheng Heyu, the 17th generation disciple of the Longmen Sect of Wudang. After becoming a monk, he devoted himself to the religion with great devotion. In the temple, he once took on the most arduous tasks of gathering firewood and farming. Due to his hard work and willingness to endure hardships, he was highly praised by the Taoist community and was promoted to the position of a Treasury keeper. In 1931, He Long led the Red Third Army into the Zixiao Palace in Wudang. He served tea and meals to the wounded and sick soldiers of the Red Third Army and took meticulous care of them. Later, under the arrangement of General Xu Benshan, he served Comrade Liu Zhixun (pseudonym Guo Fan) full-time. Liu Zhixun, in gratitude for Xu Daozong's care, took himself as a disciple outside the door and named himself Guo Hexi. He also became a disciple of Xu Daozong to learn martial arts. When the Red Third Army withdrew, Wang Jiaohua was presented with 35 silver dollars and kept them until 1950 when he gave them to the United Front Work Department of Jun County. In 1954, He Long sent a telegram to Hubei Province, expressing concern about the political life of the Wudang Taoist who had made contributions to the Red Third Army that year. As a result, Wang Jiaohua was elected as a provincial people's Congress representative and a provincial committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In 1980, he was elected as the vice president of the China Taoist Association. From 1984 to 1987, he served as the honorary president of the Wudang Mountain Taoist Association for two consecutive terms. Although he held an important position and received a high salary, he always maintained a simple and unassuming life. In his later years, he donated all the money he had saved over the decades to temples for their restoration and to train young Taoists. Deeply admired by all Taoists. In 1989, Wang Jiaohua passed away peacefully in Zixiao Palace at the age of 82.
