Jiang Chao

Jiang Chao, styled Huchen, was from Jintan (now Changzhou, Jiangsu Province). According to the "Brief History of Taoism on Wudang Mountain", Jiang was the second place winner in the imperial examination in the Dinghai year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1647 AD). He successively held the positions of attendant in the National History Institute and supervisor of the Zhili College. Fond of immortals and Buddhist affairs, often visiting famous mountains and immortal temples. In the sixth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1667 AD), he visited Wudang and wrote "The Theory of Not Committing Four Kinds of SINS". Then go to Mount Emei. He passed away while sitting in meditation, reciting verses. The dates of birth and death are unknown.
