Huang Chengyuan

Huang Chengyuan was a Taoist priest at Tianyun Tower on Wudang Mountain in the late Qing Dynasty. According to the "Brief History of Taoism in Wudang", Huang Wen was kind and benevolent, living a simple and uneventful life. He spent his days gathering herbs to help the world and cured many patients throughout his life. On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month in the year of Bingzi of the Guangxu reign (1876 AD), someone saw him walking with a heavy load on his back as if he were flying. In an instant, he was transformed into an immortal in the palace. He passed away at the age of ninety-one.
