Xu Fugao is from Fengxin, Nanchang. A famous Taoist priest on Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Ming Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Xu Fugao was well-trained throughout his life and was also proficient in poetry and prose. In the fourteenth year of Yongle (1416 AD), Zhang Yuqing, the 44th Celestial Master, recommended him to the court and appointed him as the abbot of Zixiao Palace on Wudang Mountain. In the first year of the Xuande reign (1426 AD), he traveled to Kuanglu, Jiangxi Province and passed away without illness. His death was unknown.
