Peng Zunian

Peng Zunian is from western Sichuan. A famous hermit on Wudang Mountain in the early Ming Dynasty. According to the "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals" of the Ming Dynasty, Peng Zonian devoted himself to Confucianism for twenty years and was proficient in poetry, calligraphy and other fields. Later, he also delved into astronomy, geography, Yin and Yang, divination, witchcraft and medicine, and was highly knowledgeable. He became a monk and studied under Master Wang Zhenren. He lived in the Yuan capital Dadu (now Beijing) and later returned to the Taiping Palace in Zhongnan Mountain. Save people and the world with the Dharma. In the early years of the Hongwu reign, he resided in seclusion on Wudang Mountain. He often tells others that he is like a boat without an anchor, drifting aimlessly. During the retreat, there were many disciples. One day, he calmly said to his doorman, "I'm leaving." Then he sat upright and transformed himself. He died at the age of eighty-three. The exact dates of birth and death are unknown.
