Li Yiquan was from Junzhou (at the foot of Wudang Mountain). According to the Qing Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals" and "Junzhou Annals", Li became a monk in the Zixiao Palace of Wudang Mountain in the middle of the Yuan Dynasty. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, he traveled to various famous mountains and rivers north of the Han River and south of the Yellow River. Walking with a hat on his head, a staff in his hand, straw sandals on his feet and a food ladle at his waist, he exudes the elegance of a wild crane and the grace of a towering figure. At Linwu Cave Heaven (the ninth of the thirty-six Cave Heavens of Taoism, located in the Dongting River in Suzhou, which is now Dongting Mountain), Wang Wuwei imparted the essence of Taiji Shangdao and Qingwei. Later, he returned to the Zixiao Palace on Wudang Mountain to practice seclusion. He passed away at the age of eighty-one without any illness. The years of birth and death are unknown.
