Wang Yue, styled Shichang, was from Anlu, Hubei Province. The High Dao of Wudang in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Qing Dynasty's "Great Mountain Taihe Mountain Annals", Wang Yue entered the officialdom first and once passed the imperial examination as a jinshi. He was upright and honest, with a talent for strategy and planning. For his meritorious service in conquering the frontier, he was enfeoffed as the Marquis of Weining. He later retired to Wudang and never left. The following year, the censor Tu Dashan visited Wudang Mountain but failed to meet him. Tu Dashan's son, Tu Benjun, later also succeeded to the position of Central Censor and once again went to Wudang Mountain to search for his former Duke of Weining, Wang Yue, and finally met him. After seeing Wang Yue, he disappeared again. This incident was later recorded in the deeds of the Tu family genealogy. According to the mountain Chronicles, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, many elders on Wudang Mountain said that Wang Yue was often seen in the mountain. The person's birth and death are unknown.
