According to traditional Chinese medicine, "anger is the abode of the primordial spirit." The brain is the place where the essence and spirit are highly concentrated. A person's vision, hearing, sense of smell, sensation, thinking and memory are all due to the function of the brain. This indicates that the brain is an extremely important organ in the human body and is the key to life. Strengthening the brain is the key to fitness. The methods of strengthening the brain can be roughly divided into the following aspects: First, recognizing essence to strengthen the brain. Annoyance is the sea of marrow, and the kidney governs essence and generates marrow. If the kidney essence is abundant, the sea of marrow will be full. Therefore, the accumulation of essence can strengthen the brain. The way to accumulate essence lies in abstaining from desires. Zhang Jingyue, a renowned medical expert of the Ming Dynasty, said, "Those who are good at maintaining health must preserve their essence." When the essence is abundant, the qi is vigorous; when the qi is vigorous, the spirit is complete; when the spirit is complete, the body is healthy; when the body is healthy, diseases are few; when the spirit is strong, one remains vigorous in old age. All of this stems from the essence. Second, Qigong strengthens the brain. If one practices Qigong properly, it can fully exert the subjective initiative of the mind and greatly stimulate the self-regulating function of strengthening the brain and body. There are many qigong exercises, many of which aim to nourish and strengthen the brain. It is best to have the guidance of a Qigong master for specific practice. Iii. Nourishing the Mind and brain. The brain holds the spirit; when one is in a good mood, the brain is not harmed. If one is mentally tense, has an agitated state of mind, and is distracted, the brain will be damaged. To nourish the mind and brain, one must attach great importance to moral cultivation. If one is broad-minded and magnanimous, has few desires, does not worry about gains and losses, does not pursue fame and fortune, is at ease and content, and is willing to help others, it is beneficial for brain health. If one has a narrow mind, is overly concerned about every little thing, and is easily moved by the seven emotions, it will cause the dysfunction of the internal organs and qi and blood, leading to illness. Therefore, when it comes to brain health and wellness, special attention should be paid to this aspect. Four. Nourishing the brain through food. An analysis of ancient and modern brain tonic prescriptions and medicines generally focuses on tonifying the liver and kidneys, enriching essence and blood (such as cornus officinalis, Rehmannia glutinosa, Polygonum multiflorum, Lycium barbarum, Cuscuta chinensis, Samadhi chinensis, Eucommia ulmoides, Achyranthes bidentata, Angelica sinensis, etc.), tonifying vital energy and activating blood vessels (such as Astragalus membranaceus, ginseng, salvia miltiorrhiza, etc.), and resolving turbidized phlegm and opening clear orifices (such as Acorus tatarinosae, Polygalea, poria cocos, Alisma orientale, etc.) as auxiliary. In clinical application, the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment should be followed. It is better to prepare it specifically. In addition, food supplements such as sesame and animal brains are also advisable. V. Disease Prevention and Brain Protection. According to clinical reports, currently, the proportion of people over 65 years old suffering from senile dementia is 10%, and it is on the rise year by year. Research has found that the aluminum deposition layer in the brain tissue of patients is significantly increased, and they are often accompanied by iron deficiency anemia. To prevent this disease, one can appropriately reduce the use of aluminium tableware, especially avoiding long-term storage of acidic, alkaline or salty foods and dishes with aluminium products. Six. Yun Zhi benefits the brain. All kinds of sports are beneficial to health, but most are not direct. Calligraphy, painting, practicing Tai Chi and the like share the common feature of connecting hands and mind and being fully concentrated. The relationship between hands and the brain is the closest. In China, the fitness ball exercise (that is, constantly circling and twisting two small balls in the hand) emphasizes the coordination of hands and the brain and has a good effect on brain health.
