Laozi's Massage Method

The essence of the Supreme Hunyuan or Tianzhu Kingdom: Laozi's Massage Method: First recorded in Sun Simiao's "Emergency Thousand Gold Prescriptions - Nourishing Nature - Massage Method" of the Tang Dynasty. Sun Simiao (May 1st - 682 AD) was a renowned medical scientist in the Tang Dynasty. He was from Huayuan, Jingzhao (now Yao County, Shaanxi Province). In his childhood, he suffered from a wind disease and thus was determined to study medicine. In 652 AD, he completed the "Emergency Thousand Gold Prescriptions" in thirty volumes. In Volume 27 of this book, "Cultivating One's Nature", there is considerable research on health preservation and care. He lived to be at least 101 years old, and some people believe he lived to be over 170 years old. He collected the experiences and methods of health preservation from predecessors, including living methods, massage methods, qi regulation methods, food intake methods, and sexual intercourse techniques, almost covering all the contents of traditional health preservation. He also expounded his own views and developed the theory of health preservation. He advocated combining the "static exercise" of expelling the old and taking in the new with the "dynamic exercise" of the bear meridian and the bird's eye. He paid attention to the regularity and moderation of daily life, believing that diet, daily routine, emotions, and sexual life all have their own knowledge. He combined health preservation exercises with the rehabilitation of geriatric diseases, making health preservation a science with both theory and experience. In the "Massage Method" section of the "Nurturing Nature" festival, two sets of dynamic exercises are included, namely: the massage method of Tianzhu Kingdom and the massage method of Laozi. The Ming Dynasty's Gao Lian's "Eight Notes on Zunsheng" also records Laozi's massage method, but it was renamed "Taishang Hunyuan Massage Method".
