To prevent this kind of pain, you can face the wall barefoot, support yourself with both hands, bend your right knee and step forward, stretch your left leg straight behind you, keep your entire left foot flat on the ground and extend it as far back as possible, then switch your left and right legs and repeat this action. This stretching movement can relax the muscles of the lower leg, stretch the Achilles tendon, and reduce tension in all the muscles extending to the foot. There are many causes of phalangeal pain, such as nerve damage, shoes with too narrow toe caps or heels that are too high. Therefore, it is advisable to switch to flat shoes with wider toe caps. High heels should be worn only on special occasions as much as possible. If a toenail is slightly detached from the nail bed, that area may be infected by fungi. The solution is to cut the toenail frequently to prevent it from accidentally breaking. In addition, if the tip of the toenail bends inward and pierces into the flesh, it is usually caused by improper trimming of the toenail. Therefore, when trimming toenails, do not leave a single tip and do not cut the two corners too short, otherwise the toenail can break through the skin and grow into the flesh.
