Tao Hongjing took health preservation as a pleasure throughout his life and conducted himself in a way that was different from ordinary people. His demeanor was bright and elegant, with sparse eyebrows and bright eyes. His gaze shone with light, his skin was fair and lustrous, and his ears were delicate and charming. His charm was unique. So much so that whenever Tao Gong went out of the court, passers-by would follow and comment, saying, "Tao means jade. A fairy has descended from the capital."
