The author: Peng Chenggang. Judo is based on skills and uses internal martial arts. It has no fixed moves or patterns but follows the natural way. It integrates martial arts, medicine, I Ching, Taoism and Buddhism. In combat, it is guided by three major theories and two major techniques (close combat and force application), which is unique. The following is a brief description of the three major theories, namely the Three Talents Theory.
I. The Theory of Time (Heaven) The so-called theory of Time, also known as the MAO and You theory, is the MAO lung and You Kidney. The lung governs qi and respiration, while the kidney governs the bones. Techniques come from it. Selecting some time-specific intensive training often has a strengthening effect, such as practicing qi at Zi, Wu, MAO, and You, and practicing techniques at You. In actual combat, the rhythm, tempo and timing are also of vital importance. If you go fast and he goes slow, you will surely win. As the saying goes, "No matter how many times you break, only speed can never break." This is what is called "fast beats slow." And if the energy is released in an instant, it will surely generate tremendous destructive power and lethality, that is, "inch force" and "explosive power". So, Gangjudo believes that martial arts are actually a form of time cultivation.
Ii. The Theory of Space (Earth) The so-called theory of space is the theory of heaven and Earth. There are eight directions in the front and back planes, eight directions in the left and right planes, and eight directions in the upper and lower planes, which are the eight Trigrams directions. Any static or dynamic movement in martial arts cannot do without this three-dimensional space of front and back, left and right, and up and down. Any move is a three-dimensional space centered on oneself, the positioning or displacement of the Eight Trigrams. And in dynamic hitting, it is also a change in space. Knocking down or hitting the opponent actually causes the opponent's spatial position to change. Therefore, Gangrou believes that martial arts is actually a kind of spatial cultivation art. Time and space are inseparable. Any effective fighting scene is composed of an effective combination of time and space. If you can move your fist to the opponent's body before their fist (in a broad sense) reaches you, then you have gained an absolute advantage. If you can effectively change the opponent's spatial position (such as causing them to fall to the ground or enter their body to damage their tissue structure), or even end their life, then you have achieved the ultimate victory.
Iii. The Theory of the Hunyuan (Human) The so-called theory of the Hunyuan holds that it is a small universe where humans are in harmony with heaven and earth. By strengthening their own cultivation, they aim to bring their physical, physiological and mental states to the best condition and cooperate in a closed manner with time and space. Because martial arts is a discipline that focuses on effectiveness rather than just the way of action. Even if you can knock down the opponent within an effective time, if your fists are weak or you are unwilling to exert force to destroy the opponent, you still cannot defeat them. Therefore, a master of martial arts is to move your attacking part to an effective position within an effective time. And it should produce an effective effect, while allowing the opponent's attacking parts to be adjusted to one's own effective parts within an effective time. At the same time, one must also adapt to society, such as adapting to various competition rules, the specific requirements of cold and hot soldiers. Therefore, Gangjudo believes that martial arts is actually a self-cultivation art. From this, it can be seen that no matter how powerful the opponent is, it will have a certain effect, but you just need to manage time and space well. Adapting to society (such as competition rules), leveraging the opponent's weak points to effectively change their space, you will win. This achieves the goal of defeating the strong with the small and the strong with the weak. This is the three major theories of hardness and judo.
