Dental clenching for health care

#Health-preserving ·2022-08-20 23:32:13

Tooth tapping is one of the daily health care methods for treating dental diseases, which involves rhythmic relative tapping movements of the upper and lower teeth. It is not restricted by conditions and can be carried out freely between meals and daily life. As a common method for disease prevention and health preservation, teeth clenching has a long history in China. For instance, Sun Simiao of the Tang Dynasty recorded in his "Record of Health Preservation" : "Have a plate of porridge in the morning and don't eat enough at night." Strike the Jingyang bell and clench your teeth thirty-six times." The specific method for dental care by tapping teeth is as follows: Tap the upper and lower teeth rhythmically. Generally, tap the acetabular teeth on both sides about 40 times first, and then tap the front teeth 30 to 40 times. Do this three times a day. When clenching your teeth, you should relax your mind and keep your lips slightly closed. It is generally believed that clenching teeth can not only promote the smooth circulation of qi and blood in the local area, but also act on the local meridians to strengthen teeth and delay tooth loss, etc. It is suitable for toothache, periodontitis, loose and fallen teeth and other conditions. Clenching teeth is also often used as a common practice in Qigong guiding exercises. It should be noted that: 1. Teeth clenching must be persisted in for a long time to be effective. 2. If the secretion of saliva in the mouth increases when clenching teeth, the saliva should be swallowed slowly and not spat out. 3. It is not suitable for use when suffering from oral erosion and stomatitis. If there is inflammation in the mouth during the treatment, it can be suspended for several days and resumed after the inflammation subsides. 4. It is used for treatment and can be combined with other therapies.
