The Yellow Emperor asked, "Does a person's pulse change according to the movement, stillness, courage and timidity of their residence?" Therefore, when walking at night, shortness of breath originates from the kidneys, and excessive dampness affects the lungs. There is a fear of falling, the auspicious energy comes from the liver, and the excessive qi harms the spleen. Fear stems from the lungs, and lust harms the heart. When one falls in the water and breathes out of the kidneys and bones, at this moment, the brave will have their qi flowing, while the timid will fall ill. Therefore: The way to diagnose illness is to observe a person's bravery, courage, flesh and skin, and one can understand their condition. This is a diagnostic method. Therefore, when one is very full after eating, sweat comes from the stomach. In shock, the spirit is captured, and sweat comes from the heart. When traveling far and wide, sweat comes from the kidneys. Running fast with fear, sweat comes from the liver. The body shakes and sweats from the spleen. Therefore, the four seasons of spring, autumn, winter and summer, with their Yin and Yang, cause illness due to overuse. This is the norm. Food irritates the stomach, disperses essence in the liver, and causes excessive dampness in the tendons. Food qi affects the stomach, turbid qi returns to the heart, and excessive pathogenic factors accumulate in the meridians. The qi flows from the meridians, and the qi of the meridians returns to the lungs. The lungs face all the meridians and convey essence to the skin and hair. The meridians converge with essence and circulate qi through the body. The spirit of the mansion is clear and bright, remaining in the four Treasuries, and the energy returns to balance. Weigh things up to be balanced, hold one's breath to the limit, and decide life and death. Drinking it in the stomach, it overflows the essence and qi, ascends to the spleen, the spleen qi scatters the essence, ascends to the lungs, regulates the waterways, and descends to the bladder. The water essence of the four cities, the five meridians running in parallel, conforms to the yin-yang pattern of the four seasons and the five stores, and is regarded as constant. When the sun is alone and arrives, one may experience shortness of breath and qi stagnation. This indicates a deficiency of Yin and an excess of Yang. One should be afraid of diarrhea both inside and out and take the lower part of the body. When Yangming Zang arrives alone, it indicates that the Yang energy is heavy and converging. It is necessary to purge Yang and nourish Yin, taking the lower shu point. When Shaoyang Zang arrives alone, it is the Jue qi, known as the front stroke being large and the lower stroke being Yu. When the Shaoyang emerges alone, it is a fault of the single Yang. When the sun is in a position of storage and pulsation, the mind should be sincere and focused. The qi in the five meridians is weak, the stomach qi is unbalanced, and the three Yin are affected. Directly treat the lower shu point to tonify Yang and purge Yin. When one Yang is alone and roars, it is the third stage of the Shaoyang jue. The Yang is united above, the four meridians are competing to expand, and the qi returns to the kidney. It is advisable to treat its meridians to purge Yang and tonify Yin. When Yin arrives, it is the treatment of Jueyin. When the true deficiency awakens the heart, the jueyin qi remains weak, and white sweat occurs. Adjust the diet and use the medicine to treat the lower shu point.
