On Wudang Mountain, the gate buildings of high-level Taoist temples all adopt the layout of eight-character walls, which is a concrete manifestation of the beliefs and aesthetic concepts of the ancients. The eight-shaped wall gate of Fuzhen Temple is tall and prominent, vividly expressing the architectural intent. It is very conspicuous from dozens of miles away. This architectural masterpiece of the Ming Dynasty consists of three parts: the Sumeru pedestal, the walls and the tiled roof. Brick relief patterns are installed in the center of the wall and at the four corners of the frame, with vivid and lifelike shapes, demonstrating an extremely high level of pottery craftsmanship. It is especially precious because it is the only eight-character wall with brick carvings on Wudang Mountain. The eight-character Wall gate is also an important symbol of the imperial architecture on Wudang Mountain. Built in the midst of lofty mountains and deep valleys, it not only possesses the majesty, solemnity and dignity of imperial power, but also the mystery, magic and dignity of theocracy. It is a superb embodiment of the unity of thought and art in ancient architecture at that time.
