Wang Lingguan, also known as "Yuxiang Huofu Tianjiang". It is said that his name was Wang Shan, a native of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty. Due to his outstanding deeds during his lifetime, he was posthumously honored by the Jade Emperor as the "Heavenly Commander of the Fire East Lingguan King", responsible for the duties of guarding both heaven and earth. In Wudang Taoism, Wang Lingguan is worshipped as the guardian deity of the temple gates. It is believed among the common people that he devotes himself to evil, is upright and selfless, and is highly revered. Many statues of Lingguan still exist in various temples on Wudang Mountain. This extremely precious Wang Lingguan statue in Yuanhe Temple is 2.22 meters tall, made of copper and gilded. He was clad in armor, holding a golden whip, with a red face and three eyes. His appearance was fierce and stern, as if he were a person who dared to do evil against the will of heaven and would act resolutely and immediately enforce the law.
