Pure Yang Martial Arts belong to the Longmen branch of Wudang Mountain. It is said to have been created by the Pure Yang Immortal Lu Dongbin. It is an internal martial art of Taoism for health preservation, physical fitness and enemy defense. In terms of its boxing theory, it should follow the principles of Yin and Yang and the movement of the king, follow the images of the square and round Eight Trigrams, and adopt the natural state to achieve the unity of heaven and man. From ancient times to the present, there have been quite a few people practicing Pure Yang Quan. Wudang Pure Yang Quan comprehensively describes its style characteristics and application through a 32-character boxing song. The basic theory of the boxing technique, "Three Circles, Six Parts, and Nine Characters Converging into One Method", is the style feature of Pure Yang Quan in application, aiming to achieve the purpose of cultivating the mind and nature and self-defense. The boxing song goes: "The wind blows the lotus flowers, swaying left and right." The clouds and water flow freely, never ceasing. With every step, one's feet are suspended, and the flow of qi nurtures one's nature. "Slow force, quick strike, eight nested techniques." " It is both a guide for practicing martial arts and a guide for health preservation.
