The Golden Boy and Jade Girl are common servants in Taoist deities, also known as jade Boys and Jade Girls. In folk legends, they are called Duke of Zhou and Peach Blossom Girl. According to the "Zhenwu Benzhuan Miao Jing", "The Jade Boy and the Jade Girl are the deities of Zhenwu who respectively hold the deities on the left and right and record the good and evil, merits and demerits, and other matters in the three realms." The standing statues of jade children and jade girls in the existing Wanbao Pavilion were made by the imperial court of the Ming Dynasty and are precious artworks of the Ming Dynasty in China. In Taoism, it is said that immortals live in the blessed realms and are served by young men and women who have achieved enlightenment and attained immortality. The higher the position of the deity, the more golden children and jade women will serve them. The True Martial God has twenty-four rows of jade boys and jade girls, so the one standing before the True Martial should be the leader of the Golden boys and jade girls. In front of the Tianzhu Peak of Wudang Mountain, there are the Golden Boy and Jade Girl Peak, the Incense Burner Peak and the Candle Peak. Legend has it that the golden boy and the jade girl served Zhenwu by his side. Over time, they developed feelings for each other. While Zhenwu was playing with his eyes closed, they accidentally toppled over along with the incense burner and candles, turning into these vivid and lifelike mountain peaks.
