The flag-holding statue in the Golden Hall is named Tian Gang. This was made by the imperial court of the Ming Dynasty. It is made of copper and gilded. The total height is 3.35 meters, and the height of the statue is 1.54 meters. It wears a military crown and armor, with the sash fluttering. It has arched eyebrows and phoenix-like eyes, looking brave and imposing. It holds a large flag and stands on a square seat. This divine statue, due to its exquisite design and being extremely rare in the world, has been listed as a first-class national cultural relic. The Heavenly Stems, in ancient times, were the names of star officials, referring to the handles of the seven stars of the Big Dipper. In "Baopuzi. Zaying", it is recorded: "..." The Seven Stars and the Big Dipper, with Kui at the top and Gang at the front." In the legend of Wudang, this celestial god holding the flag was originally the uncle of the True Martial God. When Zhenwu was a young man, he was determined to study Taoism and went to Wudang Mountain for cultivation. His uncle firmly opposed it and made a bet, saying, "If you can become a deity, I, as your uncle, will raise the banner for you." Later, Zhenwu achieved enlightenment and ascended to heaven, becoming a great god. His uncle had no choice but to hold the banner for him. From the modern excavation and collation of the achievements of Wudang martial arts, many routines and techniques of the Tiangang Sect and Taiyi Sect can be seen. To this day, in the Chinese martial arts circle, there is still the saying that "Tiangang governs qi" and "Taiyi governs sword". Whether the Heavenly Stems statues have an intrinsic connection with Wudang martial arts is still under discussion.
