The Wudang Mountain Annals records that in the Imperial Scripture Hall, there are statues of Zhenwu, the Three Pure Ones, the Jade Emperor, Guanyin, and Lu Dongbin, among others. The shrine in the Imperial Scripture Hall is dedicated to the Three Pure Ones. Their positions are above those of the Jade Emperor and the True Martial, which shows that they hold the supreme status in the Taoist divine system. The Three Pure Ones are a Taoist fairyland. Taoism holds that above the three realms, there are three Pure ones, known as the Three Pure Heaven or the Three Pure Realm. Among the Three Pure Ones, each has its own upright position. The immortals responsible for overseeing the realms of the Three Pure Ones are the Sage Dengyu Qing, the Immortal Dengyu Qing, and the Immortal Dengtai Qing. The names given to each of them are: The Primordial Heavenly Lord governs the Jade Clarity Realm's Qingwei Heaven, the Supreme Daoist Lord governs the Supreme Clarity Realm's Yu Yu Heaven, and the Supreme Laozi Lord governs the Supreme Clarity Realm's Da Chi Heaven. There was a reason why ancient people built temples and set up deities. After understanding the situation of the Taoist divine system, we can also understand the reason why the Three Pure Ones are enshrined at the highest position.
