The Wansheng Pavilion in Taihe Palace

The construction of the Wan Sheng Pavilion on the Golden Summit is not specifically recorded in the old Chronicles. Some experts believe that due to the high peak and steep rocks of Tianzhu Peak, the available area is limited. Therefore, the designers specially built a hall that can house more statues of deities to store those that are not yet on display in the hall and those donated by pilgrims and believers. Hence, it is named Wansheng Pavilion. After the establishment of the cultural relics protection institution on Wudang Mountain, it was once used as a storage room for cultural relics. Now, the Wudang Mountain Taoist Association has organized and arranged many exquisite statues and cultural relics on display for people to pay homage and admire.
