The Five-Character Classic states: "Bamboo Withers from its leaves, and people grow old from their feet. If you walk a thousand steps every day, there's no need to look for a pharmacy." It indicates that a person's health and longevity start with their feet. For this reason, the following aspects of exercise should be noted. First, walking is a magic weapon for fitness and anti-aging. Walking is the only effective exercise method that can be adhered to throughout one's life. It is the safest and most gentle form of exercise. Walking exercise is beneficial for mental relaxation, reducing anxiety and depression, and enhancing physical strength. Walking exercise can keep the cardiovascular system at its maximum function and has a larger lung capacity than those who sit for long periods and move little. It is beneficial for preventing or alleviating obesity. Walking promotes metabolism, increases appetite and is beneficial for sleep. Walking exercise is also beneficial for preventing and treating arthritis. Second, if you want to stay young, massage your feet every day. The "Eight-Part Mixed Song" says, "Warming the soles of your feet can help you walk faster." According to the theory of meridians in traditional Chinese medicine, the sole of the foot is the location of the Yongquan point of the Kidney Meridian, and the palm is the location of the Laogong point of the Pericardium Meridian. Regularly rubbing and warming the soles of the feet with the palm can have the effects of strengthening the kidneys, regulating qi and enhancing intelligence. Massage method: In the evening, after bathing your feet in hot water, hold your left toe with your left hand and rub the sole of your left foot with the palm of your right hand. Do this back and forth 100 times, and then switch to rubbing with your right foot. Three. Longevity starts with the feet. Regularly do lower limb exercises. The preparatory posture for lower limb exercises is: stand upright with your feet slightly wider than your shoulders, place your hands on your waist, and look straight ahead. The action is: 1 The right foot is lifted forward, and the toes are rotated from the inside to the outside (clockwise) 16 times, and then from the outside to the inside (counterclockwise) 16 times. Then switch feet and do the same movement. 2 For the knee rotation exercise, bend your upper body forward. Place both hands on your knees and bend them. First, rotate both knees clockwise 16 times simultaneously, then counterclockwise 16 times. Rotate each knee from the outside to the inside 16 times simultaneously, and then rotate each knee from the inside to the outside 16 times. 3 The kicking exercise involves alternately kicking each foot forward 16 times, with the toes pinching down while kicking. Alternate feet and push forward 16 times each, with the heels protruding as you push. 4 Kicking exercise: Alternate your legs and kick forward high 16 times each. Kick both legs back, from the heels to the buttocks, 16 times each. 5 Squat exercise: Lift your heels off the ground, relax your waist and bend your knees to squat. Shake up and down 8 times while squatting. Slowly stand up and let your heels touch the ground. Repeat this five times. 6 For the leg stretching exercise, bend your right knee into a horse-riding position, place your hand on the same knee with your thumb and index finger facing down, lean your upper body forward to the right and bend deeply, swing your buttocks to the left, look at the tip of your left foot, and press your left knee forcefully with your left hand four times. Then swing your hips to the right, look at the tip of your right foot, and press your right knee forcefully with your right hand four times. Alternate between the left and right sides for 4 times each. 7 Jumping exercise involves jumping up and down in place for a total of 16 times. When jumping, the upper limbs can swing up and down accordingly, reaching up to the height of the head and down to the lower abdomen, with fingers gathered together to form a single palm.
