The study of immortals is a convenient method

Teacher Kong De: I have a question for you. Is it okay if someone has previously studied Buddhist or Confucian movement techniques and now wants to enter the realm of immortality for cultivation? Did you say anything? Also, I would like to ask, for instance, someone who entered the immortal school and graduated at the age of thirty three years later, but stopped practicing after a few years (due to physical discomfort and various other reasons). But after twenty years, if one practices the Immortal Cultivation and Vitality Method again, will it still be effective and productive? Please give me your instructions. Teacher Kong De replied: The three religions of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism all share commonalities in their understanding of the great truth of "the unity of heaven and man". Master Zhang Sanfeng compared this to "a house with three doors, allowing for free entry and exit." However, the three teachings each have their own focuses in terms of practical application. The ultimate goal pursued by immortals is to undergo a transcendent transformation of both the spiritual "nature" and the material "life", achieving immortality. So, being willing to pursue this goal, no matter which school or sect you have studied in the past, does not prevent you from entering the door of immortality. Most of the immortal scholars in history, except for those who became immortals in their youth, rose from Confucianism to immortality. It can even be said that most accomplished immortal scholars were those who first studied Confucianism and then became immortals. Because Confucianism can first solve the problem of people's learning of cultural knowledge, it can lay an excellent foundation for the future understanding of the truth of the Great Way. There are also many who have achieved enlightenment through Buddhism. For instance, Xue Daoguang, the third patriarch of the Southern Branch of the Quanzhen School, entered the path of Taoism through Buddhism. Liu Huayang, a representative figure of the Wu-Liu School, was a renowned figure who rose from Confucianism to Buddhism and then to immortality. As for someone who has mastered the art of immortality and then stopped practicing, it is possible for him to resume his cultivation after many years. It's just that morning practice is more beneficial than evening practice, persisting in practice is more beneficial than not persisting in practice, and practicing when you are in good health is more beneficial than practicing only when you are not. If you don't practice, you won't be in charge; once you practice, you'll be in charge. If one cannot master the right methods, one cannot manage affairs; if one masters the right methods, one can manage affairs. I would also like to add that in the cultivation of immortals, as long as one masters the right methods, there will only be benefits, and there will be no discomfort. It is also important to understand that in the study of immortality, every aspect of life, from walking, standing, sitting to lying down, and every word and deed, all involve practice. It is not just meditation that counts as practice. The above is briefly replied for your reference.
