Qigong for Myopia - Zhang Qiongfang 1. Standing Still (1) In the early morning, on an empty stomach, loose your clothes and belts, stand under a tree or on a balcony, and remove your glasses. (2) Keep your feet shoulder-width apart, with your toes slightly turned inward to form an inward "V" shape, and your soles slightly lifted to make the Yongquan point feel slightly off the ground. (3) Close your eyes flat, let out a glimmer of light, and calm your thoughts into a state of tranquility. (4) Keep the hips closed, the waist, abdomen and chest naturally relaxed, the spine straight, the buttocks slightly drawn in, without straining the chest or protruding the abdomen. (5) Relax your shoulders, slightly bring them forward, let your arms hang naturally, place your little finger in front of the seam of your pants, keep your palms open, stretch your middle finger, and slightly bend your shoulders and wrists like a bow. (6) Keep the head in the center and the neck as if supporting an object without being tight. The lower jaw should be drawn inward and not protrude outward. Keep your mouth naturally closed and your tongue touching the upper palate. (7) Relax your entire body, mentally thinking about "relaxation", from top to bottom. Be so relaxed and still that you can feel warmth all over your body, your hands are warm, and even sweat, or you may feel the qi in your dantian rising. The standing time can be between fifteen and thirty minutes. Ii. Luck (1) Keep your posture unchanged, maintain a relaxed and calm state, and keep your eyes closed. (2) Slowly raise both hands forward until the wrists are level with the shoulders, with the palms facing each other and about shoulder-width apart. Bend the elbows symmetrically to form an arc. (3) After a short while, you will feel numbness and swelling in your palms. At this point, slowly bring your hands together with your intention rather than force, as if pressing a balloon, creating a sense of resistance. When your hands are brought together to a distance of two or three inches, stop bringing them together. Then, use your intention to slowly and parallelly pull your hands apart. You can pull them slightly wider than your shoulders, but do not straighten them. At this moment, one may feel as if there is a connection of energy between the two hands, with a sensation that they cannot be pulled apart. (4) Repeat this process of inward closing and outward pulling thirty-six times, and you will feel a suction force between your hands, which will gradually increase. Iii. Treating the Eyes (1) Raising the forearm; Lower your shoulders and elbows, keep your armpits in the air, and slowly rotate your hands until the backs of your hands face down, the palms face down, and your fingers are level with your shoulders. (2) Align the palm (labor palace) with the slightly closed eyes, and imagine the energy from the palm being released towards the eyes. Push the palms freely from bottom to top towards the eyes and then pull them apart. Imagine the energy from the palm connecting with the eyes, and there will be a feeling of the eyes pressing inward and protruding outward. The effect is relatively good, and green, yellow, white, purple, blue and other colors of light may appear in the eyes. (3) Keep pushing and pulling like this for fifteen minutes. Four. Conclusion of Practice (1) Close your eyes and calm your mind. Place your palms upwards, raise your arms straight up, gradually bring them back to your chest, then turn your palms downwards and gently press them down between your waist and hips. Return to a still standing position. (2) One minute later, slowly open your eyes, look straight ahead, and don't put on your glasses immediately. (3) At this point, you will feel refreshed and relaxed, with bright eyes. Just take a few slow steps forward and it's over. After that, put on your glasses and you can eat half an hour later. Note (1) Before entering a state of tranquility, you can jog for a while to ensure the smooth flow of blood throughout your body. (2) The time spent standing still can be gradually increased. Besides doing it in the morning every day, it is even better to do it once in the evening. (3) Do Qigong once after watching TV. (4) Only by persistently practicing can one achieve good results. (5) The effect varies from person to person. It is not advisable to pursue seeing brilliance or feeling. Wudang Mingmu Skill One: Keep Your Mind. Stand naturally with your legs shoulder-width apart and parallel. Breathe naturally. Look up at the sky for about one minute, then look down at the ground for another minute. Then close your eyes and sit still. Sit on a stool, place your hands naturally on your knees, relax your fingers, and align the Laogong point on your palm with the patella. Close your eyes slightly, place your tongue on the palate, and raise your mind to the dantian (Yintang point). Close your eyes and rest your mind to cool them down and multiply your vision. Hold your mind for two minutes and then open your eyes. Slightly open your eyes to let light into them, which can nourish your eyeballs. Second, stand naturally with clear vision, the top of the tongue and the palate should be connected to the Ren and Du meridians, and the mind should focus on the celestial eyes. Then find a distant object, keep your eyes wide open and look far into the distance for half a minute. Then find a nearby target and look nearsighted for half a minute. Alternate in this way to restore the eyes' function of adjusting distance. Three, draw energy to warm the eyes. Stand naturally, with the palate above the tongue connected to the Ren and Du meridians. Form your hands into a ball in front of you, with the palms facing your face. Make the action of slowly bringing the palms close to your eyes and then slowly pulling them away. During the process of approaching, imagine that the palms emit an external energy and pour it into your eyes. During the process of pulling it apart, do not use your mind. If you repeat this process 12 times, you will feel a warm and swollen sensation in your palms and eyes. This is the effect of external qi entering the eyes and promoting the circulation of qi and blood. After doing it 12 times, quickly rub your hands to warm them up, cover your eyes with your palms to let the residual heat warm them, and then rub your face. Fourth, stand naturally with your legs shoulder-width apart and parallel to each other. Connect the top of your tongue to the palate and focus your mind on your eyes. Start sitting quietly with your eyes closed, breathe naturally, inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. When inhaling, tighten your eyes and when exhaling, relax them. Repeat this 36 times. V. Acupoint Pressing and Breathing Exercises 1. Pressing the Bamboo: Use your fingers to locate the acupoints. The technique should gradually increase from light to heavy. Note: If you don't know the acupoints, just take those eye exercises. Eye protection can be performed either standing or sitting upright. Focus your mind and breathe ten times. Raise both hands, align the palms with the eyes, and close the eyes at the same time (the distance between the palms and the eyes is about one foot). First, rotate the palms clockwise 49 times, then counterclockwise 49 times. When rotating, do not swing too much. Pause for a moment, then move your palm up and down 49 times (inhale upwards and exhale downwards), and then move it left and right 49 times (inhale externally and exhale internally). Then press the palm of your hand towards your eyes (exhale) about 5 inches away from your eyes and stop. Pull it back to the original position (inhale) 49 times. The above-mentioned exercises must be persisted in to achieve long-term effects. This set of Tibetan Esoteric Vajra Eye Protection exercises is simple and effective, and is suitable for friends with a certain foundation. It's my signature skill. My eyesight remains at 5.2 to this day, all thanks to this skill! The practice method is as follows: Maintain a proper posture, standing, sitting or lying down. Close your eyes and relax. Visualize yourself instantly transforming into the Vajra Dakinis, possessing the image of great compassion and mercy. Close your eyes again and visualize a certain area of your eyes. Make a "whoosh" sound from your mind. Visualize this mantra sound vibrating the area of your eyes. This is a thought from your mind, and no sound comes from your mouth. Just like this, while visualizing, one recites the incantation. The way the incantation is recited can be fast or slow. If it's fast, it's as sharp and powerful as a machine gun; if it's slow, the sound ends are prolonged, soft and continuous. During the process of visualization, unpredictable light and shadow will appear before the eyes, and there will be a feeling of heat in the eye area. These are all normal phenomena. It is a sign of improvement in the eye area. When your eyes feel very relaxed during the practice, you can stop. While stopping, rub your palms together to warm them up, wipe your face several times, then gently open your eyes and slowly open them. Note: 1. During the practice, do not overfocus your mind. Instead, gently and softly visualize the eye area. 2. When your mind is too strong, you may experience dizziness or a feeling of heat in your head. Please stop practicing immediately, massage and relax, or take a walk. Wait until the feeling disappears before continuing to practice! Note: The above article is kindly provided by "Xianxue Network".
