On June 2, 2026, the opening ceremony of the second phase of the International Taoist Culture Research Class of the World Taoist Federation was held at the Wudang Mountain Taoist College in Hubei Province. Fifty students from eight countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, the United States and Mexico gathered in Danjiangkou and jointly embarked on a research and study journey of Taoist culture.

Master Li Guangfu pointed out in his speech that Taoist culture has a long history. The core concepts it advocates, such as "going with the flow" and "the highest good is like water", are important components of China's fine traditional culture and also the common spiritual wealth of all mankind. He encouraged the trainees to cherish the learning opportunity, study diligently and practice hard, deeply understand the essence of Taoist culture, and after returning to China after completing their studies, continue to be good disseminators and practitioners of Taoist culture, so that more people can understand and benefit from Taoism. He stated that the World Taoist Federation will continue to uphold the concept that "all Taoism in the world is one family", and will persistently promote the continuous dissemination and development of Taoist culture worldwide.

Jiang Huafu emphasized in his speech that Hubei is one of the important birthplaces and inheritance sites of Taoist culture. Wudang Mountain, as a World Cultural Heritage site and the birthplace of Tai Chi culture, perfectly interprets the spiritual core of "harmony between man and nature" and "going with the flow". He hopes that students from all countries will cherish the opportunity to study and research on Wudang Mountain, become envoys spreading the concepts of peace, harmony and inclusiveness, bring the Taoist spirit of "adhering to simplicity and truth" and "unity and love" to all parts of the world, promote dialogue and integration among different civilizations, and provide Eastern wisdom for the practical problems facing humanity.

Master Liu Wenguo delivered a speech

Master Liu Wenguo extended a warm welcome to the Taoist colleagues who had come from afar in his speech. He introduced the course arrangement of this training class, which includes practical exercises such as Taoist health-preserving exercises and Wudang Tai Chi, as well as core classics and theoretical systems like the "Taoist Morning Prayer Sutra", "History of Taoist Thought", and "Tao Te Ching". In addition, special traditional courses such as fragrant tea and elegant music, and guqin art and culture, as well as on-site visits, have been offered. He hopes that students can draw wisdom from the scriptures, calm down in practice, learn from each other in communication, become envoys of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, and let Taoist thought become a warm force for enhancing friendship between countries and strengthening people-to-people bonds.

Based on the successful experience of the first training course in 2025, this training course has been further optimized, with Wudang Tai Chi, Taoist etiquette and Taoist health preservation as its core contents.
