The Dragon and Tiger Hall at the rear of the Zixiao Palace

Zixiao Palace is a model of architectural development that takes advantage of unique landforms. On a terrain that is steep longitudinally and spacious horizontally, it builds an axial structure. Five levels are distributed along the central axis. From bottom to top, the Dragon and Tiger Hall, the Stele Pavilion, the Ten Directions Hall, the Purple Sky Hall, and the Parents Hall are built in sequence, gradually rising in height. Side rooms and other buildings are set up on both sides. At the same time, by using the method of building high steps, the Zixiao Palace was divided into three courtyards, forming a group of buildings with closely arranged halls and buildings and a clear distinction between the main and secondary ones.
