Inside the Parents' Hall of Zixiao Palace

The Parents' Hall of Zixiao Palace is a three-story brick and wood structure with a mixed wooden frame. It has five bays with a width of 22 meters and a depth of 12 meters. Inside the hall, there are three shrines. In the central shrine, there are statues of King Jingle and Empress Shansheng, who are the biological parents of Emperor Zhenwu. Taoist believers respectfully call them the Holy Father and Holy Mother. On both sides of the shrines, the Bodhisattva Guanyin and the Goddess Sanxiao are respectively enshrined. Among the common people, the Lady of the Three Heavens is also known as the Lady of Childbirth. After Marshal He Long led the Red Third Army to capture the ancient Junzhou in May 31, he once stationed on Wudang Mountain, and the Zixiao Palace once became the rear hospital of the Red Third Army. The headquarters of the Red Third Army was located in the room to the west of the Parents' Hall, which also served as Marshal He Long's bedroom and office. To this day, the desks, chairs, beds and office supplies used at that time are still preserved, making them extremely precious revolutionary relics.
