The Six Ding and Six Jia, totaling twelve, have names formed by the combination of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. The "Six Ding" represents six goddesses, and the "Six Jia" represents six male gods. The Daoist Book states, "In the sixth month of the lunar calendar, it is the envoy of heaven, capable of performing hailstorms and subduing ghosts and gods." The Six Ding and Six Jia were all divine generals of the Great Emperor Zhenwu. Their names are respectively: Li Wenzhong, the Water General of Jiazi; Jia Wu Tu Jiang Li Shoutong General Li Shouquan of the Jia Shen Jin Dynasty Li Shouzuo, the Fire General of the Year Jia Wu; Jia Chen Feng Jiang Li Shoujin General Li Shouqian of the Year of the Tiger. The six six-armored standing statues in Yuanhe Temple were all made by the emperors of the Ming Dynasty. They are all made of copper and gilded, each about 2 meters high. They are precious artworks of the Ming Dynasty in China.
