The Dragon and Tiger Hall of Yuxu Palace

Standing on the high platform of the Dragon and Tiger Hall in the Yuxu Palace, the entire site of the Zijin City in the Yuxu Palace can be seen at a glance. Here, high terraces are built in layers, courtyards are numerous, and pavilions and terraces are closely connected, with strict regulations. Surrounded by towering red walls, the Jade Belt River flows through the city, and the Imperial Stele Pavilion stands tall and solemn, majestically facing each other... According to records, the West Palace alone outside the palace walls was built with large-scale structures such as the Xiantai Terrace, Water Curtain Cave, Longjing Well, Imperial Garden and Beamless Hall in that year. Once, a famous scholar, after visiting the Jade Void Palace, remarked with emotion: "Today, I wander aimlessly, as if in a dream; I return from the blue sky, treading on the void." The great literary figure Wang Shizhen also praised, "Yu Xu is like Qin Afang." Unfortunately, the grandeur and splendor of the Jade Void Palace in those days can only be fully imagined by referring to the Forbidden City in Beijing.
