Yin Xianyan, also known as Beiyan. It is located ten li north of Wulong Palace and is a large cave among the thirty-six rocks of Wudang Mountain. The cave is 11 meters high and 13 meters deep. There are few historical records about any buildings before the Ming Dynasty. In the tenth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, three brick halls were ordered to be built to enshrine Emperor Xuan, Deng Tianjun, Lu Dongbin and others. According to the records in the mountain Chronicles of the Ming Dynasty, the number of ancient recluses who achieved enlightenment and ascended to the true state here is incomparable. It is recorded that Yin Xi of the Zhou Dynasty and Yin GUI of the Han Dynasty both practiced here. According to historical records, Yin GUI "not only excelled in the divination of the stars of Taoism, but also mastered the River Chart and the Luo Book. He could treat people with elixirs and was skilled in smelting gold and silver." He holds a very high position in the history of Taoism. Before the Song Dynasty, the people who came to Wudang Mountain for cultivation were mainly hermits. During their hermits, they "regretted that the mountain was not high and the forest was not dense, fearing that their idle reputation would be heard by others." Although they left many traces, there are few records in historical books. It is said that there was also a hermit named Tian Suoyi who practiced at Yinxian Rock. He wore only one straw rain cape throughout the year, regardless of the temperature. "In the coldest winter, his true energy was like steaming; in the hottest summer, it was as cool as jade." This shows that his inner strength was very profound. There was also a Taoist named Fang Changxu. During his time in Wudang, he did not shy away from the cold and heat and dug pits and planted trees on the mountain all year round. One day, when he woke up from sleep, he saw a beard covering his chest and was never seen again. People say that he has become an immortal. It can be seen that becoming an immortal is not difficult. As long as you do good deeds throughout your life, the common people will consider you an immortal.
