The Yellow Emperor asked, "I have heard of the Nine Needles from Master. They are numerous and vast, beyond count." I wish to hear the essential teachings and pass them on to my descendants and future generations. I will nourish my bone marrow and store it in my liver and lungs. I will donate blood and receive it without daring to leak it out, so that it will conform to the way of heaven, with an beginning and an end. Above, it will correspond to the light of heaven, the stars, and the calendar; below, it will correspond to the four seasons and the five elements. The noble and the humble will be established. Winter is bright and summer is sunny. How can people respond to this? I wish to hear of its prescription. Qi Bo replied, "What a wonderful question!" This is the ultimate number of heaven and earth. The emperor said, "I wish to hear the supreme numbers of heaven and earth, which are in harmony with human form, with smooth flow of blood and qi, and to determine life and death. What should I do about it?" The Qi Bo Day: The ultimate number of heaven and earth, beginning with one and ending with nine. The first is heaven, the second is earth, and the third is man. Therefore, king them; the third is nine, responding to the nine fields. Therefore, there are three divisions of human beings, and each division has three periods, which are used to determine life and death, to treat all kinds of diseases, to regulate deficiency and excess, and to eliminate pathogenic diseases. ① Zhi: The original work is "zhi", modified according to the following text. ② Li: The original work "Hu" was modified based on the Yuan War Edition, the Ming Dynasty Jingtang Edition, the Orthodox Daozang Edition, etc. The emperor said, "What are the three Parts?" There are three periods: the lower part, the middle part and the upper part, each with three periods. The third sign indicates that there is heaven, earth and human beings. It must be pointed out and guided, which is to believe that the upper part of the real person is heaven, the arteries of the two foreheads. The upper part of the earth is the artery of the law; The upper part of the human body refers to the artery in front of the ear. In the central heaven, the hand is the Taiyin. In the central region, it is the hand of Yangming. People from the central region have less Yin in their hands. The lower part of the sky is the foot Jueyang. The position of an official is based on the lesser Yin. The person below is Zutai Ming. Therefore, the lower part of the body, the sky, governs the liver, the earth, governs the kidneys, and the human body, governs the qi of the spleen and stomach. The emperor said, "What about the situation in the central region?" Qi Bo said; There is also vastness, there is land, and there are people. Heaven governs the lungs, earth governs the qi in the chest, and man governs the heart. Bring back: How should the upper part wait? There is heaven, there is earth, and there are people. The heavens await the energy of the horns, the earth awaits the energy of the mouth and teeth, and humans await the energy of the ears and eyes. There are three parts: each has the sky, each has the earth, and each has a human. The three form the sky, the three form the earth, the three form the human, and the three combine to form the nine. The nine are divided into the nine fields, and the nine fields are the nine Concealments. Therefore, the five treasures of the spirit and the four treasures of the form are combined to form the nine Treasures. When the five Treasures have collapsed, their colors will surely wither and heaven will surely die. The emperor said, "What should we do?" Qi Bo said: One must measure the fatness or thinness of one's appearance to regulate the deficiency or excess of one's qi. If there is excess, it should be purged; if there is deficiency, it should be replenished. One must first remove the blood vessels and then regulate them, without inquiring about the illness, with the goal of maintaining balance. What should be done if one decides to die and live on the day of the Emperor? Junbo said: "If the form is vigorous but the pulse is fine, and the breath is insufficient to rest, it is in danger." Those with a thin figure, large veins and abundant qi in the chest will die, while those with a harmonious combination of form and qi will live. Illness occurs when there is an imbalance between the five elements. Those who lose all the nine stages of the three divisions will die. The meridians of the upper, lower, left and right are in harmony, as if the person participating in the performance is seriously ill. Those who are lost in all directions and cannot be counted will die. In the central region, even if one is alone, he will die if he loses contact with all the hidden treasures. Those who subtract from each other in the middle will die. Those with sunken eyes die. Emperor's Day: How to Know Where the Illness lies? Qi Bo said: "By observing the nine signs, it is found that those who are alone are ill, those who are alone serious are ill, those who are alone ill are ill, those who are alone late are ill, those who are alone hot are ill, those who are alone cold are ill, and those who are alone sunken are ill." Press it five cun above the ankle with the left foot, and tap it with the right foot right above the ankle. It should pass more than five cun. It should be soft and not painful. It is a disease when the middle hand is cloudy and rough. A slow and steady hand is a sign of illness. It should not reach up to five inches. If it does not respond when struck, it will die. Therefore, those who leave their physical bodies and do not depart die. Those who are sparse and numbered in the middle will die. If the pulse is hooked, the disease lies in the collaterals. The correspondence of the nine syndromes is that the upper and lower parts are one and must not lose each other. After the first pentad, illness follows; after the second pentad, the illness becomes more severe; after the third pentad, the illness is in critical condition. The latter should not be afraid. To understand the time of life and death, one must first know the meridians and then the pulse of illness. Those who see the true Treasure vein are better than those who die. Those who have exhausted the qi of the foot sun cannot bend or stretch their feet. They will surely wear their eyes when they die. The emperor said, "What about the Yin in winter and the Yang in summer?" Blowing fear of the sun: Among the nine signs, if the veins are all deep, fine, suspended and blocked, it is Yin, indicating winter, and thus death occurs in the middle of the night. Those with excessive restlessness and shortness of breath are Yang and govern summer, so they tend to die at noon. Therefore, those with chills or fever usually die in the early morning. Those with fever or febrile diseases will die during the day. Those with the disease will die within a day or two. Those who are ill with water will die in the middle of the night. Those whose pulse is alternately sparse, rapid, slow or fast will die throughout the four seasons. The flesh has fallen off, but even if the nine symptoms are adjusted, one is still dead. Even if the seven diagnostic methods are observed, if all nine symptoms are followed, the patient will not die. The so-called immortal, the illness of the wind and the illness of the menstrual period, are like the diseases of the seven diagnostic methods rather than the diseases of the seven diagnostic methods. I dare to say that I am immortal. If there is a disease of the seven diagnostic methods and the pulse symptoms are also poor, the person is doomed to die and will surely make a ruckus. It is necessary to inquire about the initial illness and the specific cause of the illness, and then ① Zhen: In the Ming Dynasty manuscripts, it is written as "zhi", and in Wang's annotations, it is also written as "zhi". ② Upper: In the original work, "Press with the left foot up five cun above the ankle." According to the (Jia Yi Jing), the character "upper" was deleted. J ② and; The original work "Shu", according to the (Jia Yi Jing) pill ④, is victorious: (Jia Yi Jing) is written as "the victor of evil" O each should follow its meridians, observe the rise and fall of its meridians, and follow the reverse of the above. If the pulse is fast, it will not fall ill ①; if the pulse is slow, it will fall ill; if the pulse does not flow, it will die; if the skin is severely affected, it will die. The emperor said: "If there is a disease of the meridians, treat the meridians; if there is a disease of the meridians, treat the blood of the meridians; if there is a pain in the body due to blood disease, treat the meridians." The illness lies in the strange pathogen, and the vein of the strange pathogen should be pricked. Keep the thin and do not move it, and prick it when it is stiff. When the upper part is solid and the lower part is weak, cut and follow it, trace the collaterals, and prick out the blood to see if it is unobstructed. When the eyes are high, the sun is insufficient; when the eyes are worn, the sun has vanished. This is crucial for determining life and death and cannot be ignored. Needles are left on the fingers and the five fingers above the outer ankle of the hand.
