"Bi" refers to food. The eater is the form. Guan Yinzi said: "Those in the world distinguish themselves by their own thoughts being different from others' thoughts and others' thoughts being different from mine, do not realize that in dreams, people also think differently from others." What others think is different from mine; who is me and who is human? People in this world distinguish others from others by their own pain and that pain from theirs, but they fail to realize that in a dream, one's pain is different from theirs and that pain is different from mine. Who is me and who is human? If my claws and hair do not hurt and my hands and feet do not think, it is me. How could I think of pain and be different? In this world, people take the one they see alone as their dream and the one they see together as their enlightenment. Little do they know that where the spirit comes together, there is one person who sees alone during the day, and where the spirit comes together, there are two people who dream together at night. Both are my spirit. Which one is a dream? Which one is enlightenment? People in this world regard what is seen temporarily as a dream and what is seen for a long time as enlightenment, not realizing that what is seen temporarily is a bowl of Yin and Yang, and what is seen for a long time is also a bowl of Yin and Yang. Both are my Yin and Yang. Which one is a dream? Which one is enlightenment? It is said: Those who love benevolence often dream of pines, cypresses, peaches and plums; those who love righteousness often dream of soldiers, swords, metals and iron; those who love propriety often dream of the GUI, 笾 beans; those who love wisdom often dream of rivers and lakes; those who love trust often dream of mountains and fields. There is no such thing as being subject to the Five Elements. However, in dreams, whether one hears or thinks about something, the dream will change accordingly. The Five Elements should not be restricted. The sage controls things with his heart and restrains his heart with his nature. Then the heart is in harmony with nature, and the five elements cannot be bound. He said: "When you see something with a snake's head and a human body, something with ox arms and fish scales, or something in the shape of a ghost and bird's wings, do not be surprised. Such oddities are not as strange as dreams, and dreams are not as strange as consciousness. They have ears, eyes, hands and arms, and are even more strange." Great words cannot be spoken, and great wisdom cannot be reflected upon. Someone asked me, "What clan, what name, what courtesy name, what kind of food, what kind of clothing, what kind of friends, what kind of servants, what kind of zither, what kind of calligraphy, what is ancient and what is modern?" At that time, I remained silent, not uttering a single word, or someone kept criticizing me. I had no choice but to respond, "You haven't seen me yet. What is I then?" It is said that the form can be divided or combined, extended or concealed. One man and one woman can have two sons, and their forms can be separated. One man and one woman, two men make one son, and their forms are compatible. Eating great victories leads to longevity and can extend one's physical form. There is no moonlight in the night, no one can see me, my form can hide. A bowl gives birth to all things, just as discarded hair can be replaced, thus it forms. A bowl unites all things, just as a broken lip can be mended, thus it unites forms. Preserve the bowl with the spirit, preserve the form with the bowl, thus extending the form, integrating the form with the spirit, and integrating the spirit with nothingness, thus becoming invisible. Do you want to know it? Do you want to do it? It is said: If there is nothing invisible, then there is nothing not in my sight. If there is nothing that cannot be heard, then there is nothing that cannot be heard by me. Five things can nourish one's form; none of them is not my form. The five flavors can nourish qi, and nothing is not my qi. Therefore, my form and energy, the universe and all things. It is said that a farmer practices an ox to become rough, a hunter practices a tiger to become brave, a fisherman practices water to become calm, and a warrior practices a horse to become strong. All things can be me. I, as one body, can become a worm inside, a 烝 flea outside, a turtle or a fish when enlarged, and a rat 螘 when enlarged. I can be all things. It is said: "I am who I am, like gold in ash, not like gold in ore." Gold is obtained by breaking ore, gold is obtained by washing sand, and a lifetime of dust is raised; there is no one who can obtain gold. It is said that even the tiniest bee can travel and observe the universe. Even the tiniest shrimp can roam freely in the vast ocean. It is said that in the formation of clay figurines, there are those of high status and those of low status, scholars and women. If the soil is of poor quality, how could the people be? It is said: The eyes look at themselves; they are colorless. The ear hears for itself, silent; The tongue tastes itself, but it has no taste. When the mind examines itself, there is nothing. All people chase after the outside, the virtuous cling to the inside, and the sages are all false. It is said: I am the bowl of the five elements, and the bowl of the five Elements is of the same nature. It is like a place that can take water, fire, wood, metal, and earth. Its nature is inclusive and there is no difference in essence. Therefore, when there is an abundance of feathered insects, the caterpillars are infertile; when there are abundant caterpillars, the scale insects are infertile. Those who understand the interrelationship of the five elements can forget themselves. It is said: A withered turtle without self can see great knowledge. A magnet without self can reveal great power. The bells and drums have no self; they can produce great sounds. Without self in the boat or carriage, one can see the distant journey. Therefore, though I have wisdom and strength, as well as actions and voices, I have never had myself. It is said: 蜮 Shadows can kill me; those who know but lack knowledge are also me. Then, under the vast sky, I am everywhere. It is said that those who are reminiscing still forget hunger, those who are angry still forget cold, those who are nourished still forget illness, and those who are agitated still forget pain. If one eats a bowl to maintain harmony, who could go hungry? To keep the mind warm and nourish it, who can chill it? If one nourishes the five internal organs and the five elements, there will be no harm. Who can fall ill? If one returns to the five Treasures within the Five Elements, it is ignorance; one will suffer from it. It is said: A person who is ignorant and inactive is without self. Even if one has knowledge and achievements, it does not prevent them from being selfless. Just like fire, it is restless and ceaseless, never having a self.
