The incense burner, also known as the paper burning burner in folk terms, is a religious facility specifically used for burning incense and making paper. It is said that in this way, one can convey messages to the gods and offer devout worship. In Chinese history, silk books were written on plain silk and were widely used over a period of 1,500 years from the Warring States Period to the Tang Dynasty. In fact, only the nobility and royalty were likely to use silk books, while the common people could only use bamboo or wooden slips. The reason why it was called a silk burning stove was to show their higher status. The incense burner of the Fuzhen Temple has a unique architectural style. There is a stone-carved high platform base at the bottom. The furnace body is built with exquisite brick-carved components and decorated with a blue tiled roof. The color, volume, shape and environment are all in perfect harmony and just right, which is of great value for the study of brick carving art in the Ming Dynasty.
