On the right shrine of the Imperial Scripture Hall, there is a statue of Emperor Fu You, Lu Dongbin. Wudang Taoism reveres Lu Dongbin. Statues of Lu Dongbin are enshrined in places such as Taihe Palace, Zixiao Palace, Fuzhen Taoist Temple, Baxian Taoist Temple and Chunyang Palace. It is said that Lu Dongbin once practiced in a rock outside the East Heaven Gate of Zixiao, which was called Dongbin Rock. The ruins still exist today. Lu Dongbin was a historical figure of the Tang Dynasty. The "Biography of Chen Tuan" in the "History of the Song Dynasty" states that he was "from Guanxi, skilled in swordsmanship, and over a hundred years old." With a light and swift gait, he could travel hundreds of miles in an instant. Later, he became one of the most influential Eight Immortals. In the Song Dynasty, he was enfeoffed as "Miao Tong Zhen Ren". In the Yuan Dynasty, he was enfeoffed as "Pure Yang Yanzheng Jinghua Fuyou Di Jun". In the Ming Dynasty, he was enfeoffed as the "Emperor of Pure Yang". The Quanzhen School of Taoism regards him as one of the Five Patriarchs of the North, commonly known as "Lu Zu", and is renowned worldwide as the "Sword Immortal", "Wine Immortal" and "Poetry Immortal".
