The Sutra Repository is a place for collecting various Taoist classics and scriptures. At both ends of the Sutra Repository of the Fuzhen Taoist Temple are the Sutra Teachers' rooms, and on the second floor is the Sutra Repository. During the 300 years from the 15th to the 17th century, Wudang Mountain became the national center of Taoist studies, with a rich variety of Taoist classics. Emperors of the Ming Dynasty held golden seal ceremonies on Wudang Mountain to commemorate national grand events. Every year, they sent imperial officials and eunuchs to deliver imperial-made sacred images, offerings, Taoist scriptures, scroll paintings, and other utensils to the various palaces and temples on Wudang Mountain to pay homage.
