Liu Wuyuan's annotation, Li Hanxu's interpretation, Kong Dekan's Annotation. Poem 18: Rooeless tree, flowers tall, waves surging to the sky, moon Riding the tide. The Galaxy Road pierces through the nine heavens, and the shadow of a boat hangs across the sky at the tip of the Dipper. Touching the Weaver Girl's machine Stone and traversing the Cowherd's Magpie Bridge. Entering the Immortal realm, he was bold and daring, and stole the peach of the Queen Mother of the Jade Pool. Original note: (This poem) Liu Yan uses the spirit of reverse utilization, while Li Yan is good at seizing opportunities. In the annotated version by Wuyuan, "bo" is pronounced as "wo" and "gai" as "kui". [Liu's Note] The Innate Great Way encompasses heaven and earth, governs the sun and the moon, and surpasses all things. The flower is in full bloom, as high as the sky, its light shining on the ocean floor. The waves rise to the sky, but the water cannot drown the light of the moon; instead, the moon can stir up the tide of the water. Just as when a person is in the sea of suffering, the circumstances should not hurt their true nature; instead, they should use the circumstances to refine their true nature. For instance, the Milky Way stretches far and wide, reaching up to the ninth heaven, making it difficult for people to cross. However, with the celestial Raft leaping across the sky and mediating through the tip of the Dipper, one can cross it. In the past, Zhang Qian rode a celestial raft through the Milky Way and witnessed the meeting of the two stars, Dou Nu. This can be regarded as a reference. Logically speaking, there are also immortal carriages in the world that can cross the Milky Way. What is a celestial raft in the world? This is the Golden Elixir Avenue. The Great Dao of Golden Elixir, capable of performing deeds in the void, can transform the universe, reverse Yin and Yang, seize the creation, and transcend the realm of human sages. This is also known as the "Divine Vessel". However, the charm of the immortal raft lies in the application of the tip of the bucket. The "Dou Shao" refers to the seventh star of the Northern Dipper, "Yao Guang". Also known as Tian Gang. Where the Heavenly Stems point, it is auspicious; where one sits, it is inauspicious. It is because there is vitality at the fingertips. Twisting towards the tip of the Dou, Yin and Yang are in harmony, vitality sprouts, and it takes no effort at all. Therefore, it is said, "Touching the Weaver Girl's support stone, I traverse the Cowherd's ride on the Magpie Bridge." The Weaver Girl belongs to Yin and the Cowherd to Yang. Xie Bridge is the place where the Cowherd girls meet. "Touching the Ji Stone", "traversing the Magpie Bridge", that is, Yin attracts Yang, Yang meets Yin, Yin and Yang meet, the golden elixir has an image. This principle is all made in the waves and exerted in the void, which is why one can "enter the immortal realm, be bold and courageous, and attain the peach of the Queen Mother of the Jade Pool". The "Jade Pool" is in the west, and the "Queen Mother" is the old Yin, that is, the Mother of the Earth. "Tao" means Dan, which is one of the Yang elements in "Zhen". The "Queen Mother Peach" represents the image of a pregnant woman in the universe. The Dan is in the west, but when it is stolen and returned, it belongs to my family, and the Dan is gone. But the beauty of this elixir lies in the meeting of Yin and Yang. The beauty of the meeting of Yin and Yang lies especially in reversing the flow of qi in the vast ocean waves without moving or shaking one's ears. To remain unshaken in the vast ocean waves is truly a man of great courage. Why can't one reach the Nine Heavens? What is there that cannot be crossed in the Milky Way? Why can't the Queen Mother's peaches be stolen? The practice of stillness and forgetfulness in that world, merely doing things in the state of annihilation, how could one truly understand? [Note] ① Raft: A raft made of bamboo in ancient times, used for crossing rivers. This metaphor refers to the cultivation methods adopted in the process of transforming from a human to an immortal. This passage tells a mythological or legendary story. However, when it comes to Zhang Qian, who was an envoy of the Western Han Dynasty to the Western Regions, there is nothing extraordinary about him. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a literary figure named zhang 鷟 (about 660 - about 740), whose courtesy name was Wencheng. He was selected as a jinshi (a successful candidate in the imperial examination) and served as the assistant minister of the court gate. He was exiled to Lingnan during the Kaiyuan period. He wrote many literary works throughout his life, including the legendary novel "Wandering in the Immortal Cave", which had a considerable influence at that time. Therefore, it is possible that Zhang Qian's name was a mistake made by Zhang 鷟. It is said that Zhang Qian crossed the Milky Way on a celestial raft, which seems to be a mistake made by zhang 鷟. This statement had a considerable influence at that time. This is the story of Zhang Qian. Or perhaps there is another explanation. ③ Large: The text on the board reads "No", which is obviously incorrect. ④ "Shi" : The text on the board reads "Shi", which is obviously incorrect. ⑤ North: The text on the board reads "bi", which is obviously incorrect. ⑥ The text on the board reads "ban", which is clearly incorrect. ⑦ Zhang: The text on the board reads "big", which is clearly incorrect. [Li Jie] "High" refers to the void. The time when "the waves rise to the sky" is what Ziyangweng called "the wind and waves 麤① produce black pearls". When the wind rises and the waves surge, the sound reverberates through the air, thus it is said to "rise to the heavens". And a black pearl, just like a round autumn moon appearing on the sea, is thus called "the moon riding the tide". Reversing the Milky Way, it pierces through the nine heavens, as if Zhang Qian were riding a chariot's shadow across the sky, with the energy reaching directly from here. However, when a river cart moves forward, there must be a guide first, so as not to let the water flow recklessly and not be controlled by the river course. This is why the top of the bucket is the place for mooring. This character "bo" is the most ingenious. In the human world, mooring a boat means staying overnight, while in the immortals' river boats, the top of the Doushao is used as the resting place, with the end of the boat pointing straight ahead, making it impossible to moor. Those who say they should stay at the top of the Dipper precisely mean that they cannot stay at the top of the dipper. They should stay at the top of the dipper, follow its movement, have a stop in movement, and find a way to survive in the midst of death. Just as heroes and valiant men act straightforwardly and without wavering in their pursuit of profit, this is the time for the grand finale and the grand gathering. It is better not to moor than to moor, and to moor is even better than not to moor. This is what is called "Bo Dou Shao". The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd, the two stars of Yin and Yang in the sky, meet every Qixi Festival. The Weaver Girl belongs to the Yin element, and the mechanical stone is compared to mercury. The Cowherd belongs to Yang, and the Magpie Bridge is where the ox and the girl meet, that is, the place where metal and mercury converge. The phrase "Dou Shao" mentioned above is like "female ox", indicating that Dou is the matchmaker for the female ox. If the Cowherd wants to meet the Weaver Girl, he must fight to achieve his goal. When the Dipper turned, the Cowherd crossed the river, and gold and mercury merged. Lu Zuyun said, "The skill of entering fire ② : The ox fights danger." Niwan said, "The beauty lies in the female ox at the tail skip." The same meaning. "Touching the stone of the machine" means facing lead with mercury. If one has traversed the Magpie Bridge, then lead and mercury will travel together, and from now on, their destiny will be connected. With lofty aspirations, one can "encounter the immortal Cao and be bold and courageous". Why is that? It is known for its "stolen peach of the Queen Mother of the Jade Pool" ears. Wu Yuan noted that "Yao Pool is in the west, the Queen Mother is the Mother of Kun, the peach is the image of Zhen in Kun, the elixir is in the west and is stolen and returned to the east to form the elixir." But the character for "steal" is not as readily available as the character for "steal". In the East, "stealing peaches" is one, and in the Kan hexagram, it is two. In the east, a thief steals a peach and goes to the west to obtain gold. The Kan hexagram represents a thief seeking lead from the bottom of the water. How wonderful the meaning of the character "thief" is! [Note] ①麤 : Coarse sound, judas. ② Husband: The text on the board reads "fire", which is obviously incorrect. The nineteenth poem: Rootless tree, with two upright flowers, dragons and tigers ascend to the altar for a battle. Lead mixed with mercury, Yin combined with Yang ①, the black pearl of the Dharma image is priceless. This is the true seed of home, rejuvenating and with a long lifespan. Go to heaven, the land of ultimate Bliss, and avoid meeting King Yama in the cycle of rebirth. Original note: (This poem) Liu Yan's combination of Yin and Yang, Li Yan's transformation into a black pearl. [Note] ① Yin Matching Yang: The text on the board reads "matching Yin and Yang", which seems to be against the rules of the words. The original text may not be like this, so it is specially revised today. [Liu's Note] The golden elixir is formed by the interaction of Yin and Yang energies, and it is useful only when the flower buds come in pairs. Yin and Yang refer to the dragon and the tiger, lead and mercury respectively. The dragon represents true nature, mercury represents spiritual knowledge and is also the primordial spirit, both belonging to Yin. The tiger represents true feelings, lead represents true knowledge, and is also the primordial essence, both belonging to Yang. The "battle between the dragon and the tiger" refers to the convergence of one's temperament. Those who "put lead into mercury" are the embodiment of a concentrated spirit. Temperament converges, spirit condenses, Yin and Yang complement each other, and qi blends together. The true spirit is perfect and bright. The Dharma body has an image, round and bright, shining brightly, like a black pearl, an invaluable treasure. This treasure is not an external thing; it is the true seed of my homeland, originally there, but lost and vanished due to the passage of time. Now, with the harmony of Yin and Yin, nothing comes first, gone comes back, and is sown in the homeland. Founded on the path of life, it is ever-renewing, rejuvenating and prolonging life to the fullest. By ascending to the realm of ultimate bliss in heaven, one can avoid the suffering of reincarnation. [Li's Explanation] "Shuang" refers to the qi of the two strings. When the energies of the two strings converge, dragons and tigers ascend to the altar, swallowing and feasting each other. "Zhan" means to swallow. A fierce battle, with the dragons and tigers evenly matched. When a tiger battles a dragon, lead is used as a sign. When a dragon battles a tiger, it pairs Yin with Yang. When positive lead meets negative mercury, an invaluable treasure is born. The Wuzhen states: "When the tiger leaps and the dragon soars, the wind and waves are rough. In the center, a black pearl is produced." The Black pearl is the innate energy, the origin of immortals and Buddhas, the true seed of our family, not an external object. Because it was concealed later in life, it has not appeared for a long time. Now in the Dragon and Tiger Altar, Yin mercury and Yang lead form a true couple and thus return from within the postnatal Kan Li to the primordial state. Therefore, it is said: "The Dharma image black pearl has no priceless compensation." From then on, those who obtain the "true seeds of home" will regain their youth and live a long life. To go to heaven and reach the ultimate Bliss, "to avoid meeting the King of Hell in the cycle of rebirth." The method of the battle and coordination between the dragon and the tiger, Yin and Yang, can only be found in the annotation of the chapter "Flower is Upright and Delicate". [Note] ① The qi of the two strings: The two strings refer to the moon image. On the seventh and eighth days of each lunar month, when the moon is half moon, it is called the "first quarter". On the 22nd and 23rd of each month, when the moon is missing its lower half, it is called the "lower first quarter". Whether it is the first or second quarter of the moon, the moon is half bright and half dark. This moon phenomenon is characterized by an equal number of Yin and Yang. The cultivation of inner alchemy uses the two strings of the moon to symbolize the harmonious combination of Yin and Yang energies, and the different positions of Yin and Yang on the upper and lower strings are used to control the heat during cultivation. The twentieth poem: Rootless tree, with its flowers in full bloom, the moon and stars in its cultivation make a rustling sound. Youdaoplaceholder0 Cloud hand, step cloud ladder, adopt the first branch of the innate. Drinking wine and wearing flowers makes one feel refreshed and energetic, and laughing makes the immortal man drunk like mud. Trust your heart to know, be cautious and protect, for fear that the fire in the stove might fly away. Liu Yan returned the elixir at one time, and Li Yan returned the elixir to nourish him. [Liu's Note] The innate spirit of the primordial being able to have something out of nothing and be complete in deficiency. (Indeed) ① This is truly extraordinary. However, precisely because of the extraordinary, the innate is concealed by the acquired, vanishing without a trace. If one wants to cultivate it, it can come back to life in an instant. The beauty of rejuvenation lies in "picking the first flower of nature". The "first branch" is the primordial energy of living beings, the spiritual root that gives birth to heaven, earth and human beings. Neither fall into form nor into emptiness. When contained, there is emptiness; when released, there is wonderful existence. If one is determined to seek it, it will be manifested in appearance; if one is not determined to hold on to it, it will be manifested in emptiness. It is about sexual commitment and forgetting, the last moment of reflection, the ultimate emptiness and the profound stillness, choosing without seeking, and achieving without taking. The innate and unified qi of nature first emerges from the void and condenses into a pearl of millet, shining both inside and out, as if wearing a fairy flower. The spirit is refreshing and invigorating, as if drinking immortal wine. Wearing flowers and drinking wine, I find joy in it. Ignorant knowledge, following the emperor's rules, is like being in a land of intoxication. At this time, the elixir had already formed. When the mother's face was seen again, there was no need to adjust the external furnace. It was urgent to warm it up in the internal furnace. The divine spirit silently moved it, and it was carefully guarded and maintained without wavering. At all times, it was necessary to prevent the heat from going wrong. "Heart knowledge" refers not to those who know it externally, but to those who know it internally. The speed of the heat is known only to oneself. When the heart knows but does not violate it, naturally the heat is not bad, and the golden elixir is mature. [Note] ① (correct) : In the text, this character is marked as "zai", which has nothing to do with the text or meaning. Therefore, it is judged as a "correct" error, which needs to be verified. [Li Jie] "Strange" means unexpected. Not only human beings cannot be measured, but also Yin and Yang cannot be measured. If it could be measured, then Yin and Yang would not be able to. With the confusion of the common people, how could one cultivate the innate? The "cultivation within the month" method involves the cultivation of golden flowers on the third day of the lunar month when the medicinal materials are fresh and tender. It is necessary to combine two parts of fire and two parts of water to create a chaotic period of time, and then the first primordial tripod will emerge from within. This film is truly impressive. In the blink of an eye, the first branch of the innate talent was indeed discovered. Miao Xin took charge and immediately refined the Heavenly Stems and returned to the cloud Han. This is "拏 the hand of the cloud", "the ladder of the cloud", and "the first branch of the innate talent". Those who "drink" this first immortal wine will naturally transform into white liquor. Those who wear the "flower" will be born with the return of the primordial spring when they wear this immortal flower. Flowers are like wine, and wine is like flowers. Drinking and wearing them, wine is a good friend and flowers are companions, making one's spirit and spirit blend and feel as if drunk. Therefore, it is said, "Drinking and wearing flowers make one's spirit and spirit feel refreshed, laughing and making immortals drunk like mud." "Heart understanding" means being of one heart. It is one's own wonderful heart. To "carefully protect and hold" means to observe the heat with a delicate mind. But there were several guards and the fire had two ends. If the heat is not sufficient, add more to protect it, and use an external stove to adjust the amount. When the heat is sufficient, it is protected by light day and night, without the need to add or subtract from the outer furnace. When the ten months are complete and nine years have passed, the true man has left the top gate. Otherwise, if the outer furnace is removed in a hurry when it should not be, the heat will be insufficient and the elixir will not be large. If the outer furnace is removed in a hurry when it should, the heat will be too intense and the elixir will surely be damaged. If the inner stove is removed in a hurry when it should not be, the heat will not be pure and it will not be effective. If the inner furnace should go but is not, the heat will be as foolish as a fool and the elixir will not come out. All of this is due to an error in the heat control in the furnace. It is the hope that is known in the heart and carefully protected, so one dares not make any mistakes. "Fei" means to make a mistake. ○ It is read together with the previous chapter "Flowers are flying".
