Its full name is Wudang Yang-style Yejia Quan, or Yang-style Yeda Mijia Tai Chi. Mr. Ye Dami, the founder, was born into a family of martial arts and medical practitioners in Wenzhou. The family-inherited Ye Family Boxing originated from an external branch of Shaolin. During Ye Dami's medical practice in Shanghai, he was well-known for both his martial arts and medicine. In his early years, Yang Chengfu roamed the world and was always accompanied by Tian Zhaolin, a member of the Yang family (said to be an orphan adopted by Yang Luchan). At that time, Yang Chengfu was injured. The young master of the Tian family, Yang Chengfu, sought treatment from Ye Dami. Ye Dami's miraculous recovery was beyond Yang Chengfu's ability to repay him. Ye Dami said, "The Yang family Boxing has treasures. Could you give them away with boxing?" At this time, Yang Chengfu knew that his boxing skills were not yet proficient and he had not yet publicly taken on disciples, so he entrusted Tian Zhaolin to teach him on his behalf. The reason why Ye Dami did not become a disciple of Yang or Tian is as follows. Ye Dami always called Tian "Sir"." Tian Zhaolin passed on Ye Dami's Yang-style middle frame boxing to him, which belongs to the lineage of Yang Jianhou. After mastering the 128-form Yang-style middle frame routine, Ye Dami practiced diligently but failed to grasp the essence. Thus, he began to practice Esoteric Buddhism, changing his name to Dami and diligently practicing the Brahmin Mind Method (an early basic practice of yoga). And understand Yang-style Tai Chi with the mind of a Brahmin. Ye Dami's martial arts practice began to shift from external to internal, thanks to the Esoteric school. When Li Jinglin, one of the Three Heroes of Wudang, came to Shanghai, Ye Dami became Li Jinglin's disciple and learned Wudang's sword, swordsmanship, staff and boxing skills. Since Ye Dami and the Yang family had no master to follow, they were naturally not bound by any constraints. He believed that Tai Chi originated from Wudang, so he integrated the Wudang saber, sword, staff and fist techniques he had learned into Yang-style middle frame boxing. After that, Ye Dami gradually entered the hall of internal martial arts. In 1926, Ye Dami established the "Wudang Tai Chi Society" in Shanghai. Zheng Manqing, Huang Jinghua, Pu Bingru, Pu Qiucheng, Zhang Shuhe and his family members, Jin Renlin and others learned from him. When Yang Chengfu came to Shanghai to teach martial arts, Ye Dami introduced Zheng Manqing, Huang Jinghua, Pu Bingru, Pu Qiucheng and others to learn martial arts from Yang Chengfu. After liberation, Ye Dami served as a librarian at the Shanghai Library. Engaged in the research of medical skills and Tai Chi. In his later years, his boxing style changed significantly and was quite different from the Ye family boxing style he had taught in his early years. The Yang-style Ye Da Mi Frame Tai Chi Chuan, which was compiled in his later years, has the following characteristics: 1. The arrangement of the routines is still based on the Yang-style middle Frame Tai Chi Chuan; 2. The transitional movements between each fixed form are complex. One form is equivalent to 3 to 5 forms of other Yang-style Quan, and the folding is distinct, with a clear explanation of the beginning, development, turn and conclusion. The movement of the waist leading the shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, knees and ankles (the large axis leading the small axis) is distinct. 3. Every movement and every move should ensure smooth force flow in the shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers (there are traces of the snake's movement in the Brahmin heart method on the body). 4. Emphasize the unity of the three fields and the crossing of the three Bridges (Taoist inner strength); 5. The smell of swords, knives, sticks and sticks is clearly manifested in the fist (commonly known as: having something in the hand). In each move, the flow of qi and blood and the direction of the force are distinct, unlike other Yang-style boxing moves which are more subtle. 7. Teaching Method: Learn each move one by one, repeatedly and irregularly (the first section of the fist has about ten movements. I have been learning it for six years and have different feelings every year). Push hands and moves are learned simultaneously. Pay attention to giving energy. 8. Auxiliary practice methods: Wuji Pole, cat step, fixed step, fist, reverse fist, lying in bed, mind fist. At the beginning, you can punch quickly, but later the speed will slow down and the mind will be extended. There are not many people practicing this style of boxing throughout the country. And all the practitioners have achieved something to some extent. It is mainly distributed in Shanghai, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Huangshan, Guangzhou and other places.
