Jiang Bailong, male, was born on April 17, 1940. A native of Qianjiang City, Hubei Province, he is a martial arts professor, one of the top 100 martial arts masters in China, and holds an 8th Dan in martial arts. Professor Jiang Bailong graduated from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education with a bachelor's degree in Wushu in 1962. He studied under Professor Wen Jingming, vice chairman of the National Wushu Association, and systematically practiced various schools of boxing, Chinese wrestling, Sanda, short weapons, and spear thrusting techniques. For over 30 years, he has successively held positions in the Department of Physical Education, the Department of Sports, the Department of Martial Arts, the general and specialized training of martial arts, the representative team of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, the Hubei Provincial Martial Arts Team, and the teaching and training of martial arts postgraduates of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. He has cultivated dozens of Wu-ying and first-class athletes, and nearly ten of his disciples have taught in the United States, Japan, Russia, Canada and other countries. Professor Jiang Bailong was appointed as the deputy director of the Wushu Teaching and Research Section in 1980, the director of the College's Research Office in 1986, visited the United States with a delegation from China Sport University in 1988, taught in the former Soviet Union for half a year in 1991, went to South Korea to train coaches and referees for the Asian Wushu Federation in 1993, and visited Japan with a delegation from the Chinese Wushu Association in 1997. Since 1988, more than 20 academic papers have been published in the Journal of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education and other scientific and technological periodicals. His main scientific research achievements have won multiple first prizes in the teaching achievement Award and scientific and technological achievement Award of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. One third prize of the Wuhan Yellow Crane Invention Award and the Wuhan Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as two third prizes of the National Sports Commission's Sports Science and Technology Progress Award. Monographs such as "Unarmed Combat Techniques" and "Self-defense Tricks" were published by Hunan Science and Technology Press. "Research on Wudang Quan" was published by Beijing Sport University. The books he edited, including "Fundamentals of Wushu Theory", "A Brief History of Chinese Wushu", "Grappling", "Thai Boxing", "Taekwondo", "Fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine", and "Chinese Wrestling", were published by People's Sports Press and Hubei Science and Technology Press respectively. He once undertook research work on two key projects of the State Sports Commission. Among them, "Research on the Origin, Style and Content of Wudang Quan School" was appraised in 1992 and received high praise. I once participated in the compilation of the unified martial arts textbook, which won the Special Textbook Award from the State Education Commission. Professor Jiang Bailong has served as the Director of the Research Office, the Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and the Director of the Wushu Department at Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. He also holds positions such as a council member of the Chinese Nutrition Association, a standing committee member of the Chinese Wushu Society, an honorary president of the Wuhan Wushu Association, a member of the Institute's Executive Committee, a member of the Professional Title Evaluation Committee, and a member of the editorial Board of the Journal of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. In 1996, he/she was awarded the title of Outstanding Teacher of Hubei Province. In 1999, he/she was awarded a government allowance by the state. I am now entrusted by Wuhan Institute of Physical Education to serve as the principal of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education Shenzhen Longyuan School.
