The Ganlu Well of the Nan Yan Palace Taoist Temple

This well platform with exquisite carvings is the famous Ganlu Well of Wudang Mountain. In Taoist alchemy theory, "Ganlu" is a metaphor for the body fluids produced by the innate true qi, which nourish the heart, kidneys and skin of the human body through the "magpie bridge" formed by the tip of the tongue on the upper palate. It can be called a treasure of the human body. On the mountain peak at an altitude of over a thousand meters in the southern part of Wudang, there is a mountain spring that never dries up. The water tastes sweet and is truly magical. Therefore, people call this well the Ganlu Well.
