The Feishengya Peak rises abruptly on three sides with sheer cliffs. A small path on the ridge leads directly to the summit. Leaping from the top and looking out, the magnificent scenery comes into full view. It was praised by the ancients as the first fairyland of Wudang Mountain. The Flying Ascension Cliff is the place where the Great Emperor Zhenwu ascended to heaven. It is said that the Great Emperor Zhenwu practiced here when he was young. For decades, he faced the wall, as still as an ancient well and as sitting as a pine tree. Even when birds built nests on his head, he remained motionless. On the third day of the third lunar month, the Great Emperor Zhenwu's path was about to be completed, and his master, the Purple Qi Yuan Jun, descended to the mortal world to test him. The Purple Qi Yuanjun transformed into a beautiful woman to dress up Zhenwu. Zhenwu fled to a rock on the sheer cliff. The beautiful woman, filled with shame and desperation, jumped into the bottomless abyss. Upon seeing this, Zhenwu also jumped down to save the person. At this moment, five dragons in the canyon rose into the air, embracing Zhenwu and ascending to the heavens.
